Animal Crossing: New Horizons, many are transforming islands into Super Mario levels

With the arrival of Animal Crossing: New Horizons patch 1.8.0, many are transforming their islands into Super Mario levels.

Following the arrival of the patch 1.8.0 from Animal Crossing: New Horizonspublished on 25 February 2021, several objects dedicated to the world of Super Mario. The creative players of New Horizons didn’t let themselves be begged twice and decided to transform their islands into real Super Mario levels.

Although a week has passed since the release of update 1.8.0, only today Nintendo has shared all changes made by the patch. In addition to the Super Mario themed items, available starting yesterday to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Italian plumber, Nintendo has added seasonal items to be found in the Nook shop.

In addition, Nintendo has fixed a bug which did not allow you to correctly view the players you interacted with online and further cleaned up the game code.

Following the release of Super Mario items, many players have begun to take advantage of the popular green pipes,? Blocks, pennies and end-of-stage flags to create levels themed Super Mario Bros. in their islands. The final result is nice, rather faithful from the aesthetic point of view, less from that of the gameplay, since it completely lacks any kind of finesse that can be found in Nintendo’s platformers.

However, it remains a nice attempt to mix the two universes, as well as a further step towards a structure sand box by Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
