Call of Duty: Modern Warfare | Battle royale is found in the game files; check details

What we know officially, for now, is that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will not present a battle royale mode to players. Despite this, more and more information about the alleged mode continues to leak online.

The most recent leak stems from a datamine coming from the PC beta of Call of Duy: Modern Warfare, via VG s. The leak reveals the locations of the Battle Royale maps in Modern Warfare, various items and, most interestingly, a form of money called Plunder.

Money is definitely the most interesting aspect of Modern Warfare data. It seems to be a kind of currency in the game; a lootable money found on the battle royale map. However, exactly what the Plunder would be used for is unclear.

Surprisingly, the map locations with dated data for the Modern Warfare battle royale are very generic as a police station and fire department. There are other interesting places, like the Boneyard or the Gulag. Also interesting is the location of the bank in the game, which may or may not be related to Plunder. In total, there are 17 locations listed, which implies a decent sized map.

Finally, there are four individual items mentioned in the battle royale’s discovered file. Plunder is one of those items. The armor is different, which is not surprising to see. After all, armor is an extremely common item in battle royale games. Healing is another expected item, as players would need to heal. The final item is interesting, it is Alcohol. This may or may not work in a similar way to PUBG energy drinks or painkillers. It could also be something entirely different.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be released on October 25 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
