Dying Light 2, a long gameplay video shows the E3 2019 demo for the first time
We finally see the impressive E3 2019 demo of Dying Light in a long 26-minute gameplay video that shows various aspects of Techland’s first-person action game.
Dying Light 2 convinced practically all those who had the opportunity to see it during the closed-door presentation of the demo of E3 2019and now we can understand more precisely why thanks to the video complete with that version shown.
The video shown above in this news therefore presents 26 minutes of gameplay taken from the game, the same ones that were shown to the press during E3 2019 and that have positively impressed many, including our Francesco Serino who wrote the preview of Dying Light 2 on that occasion. Although it is only a small fragment of the game, we can see something of it on the narrative front and also on the gameplay, with a first taste of the wide open world that characterizes it.
Aiden Caldwell, the protagonist of the game, is a survivor of the infection that destroyed humanity and brought the entire planet to its knees and is found to be the fundamental element for the survival of the City, in which humans have taken refuge and try to resist.
Between characteristics particular of Dying Light 2 there is a considerable freedom of choice offered to players, which affects the progress of the quests and can lead to important consequences on the story. We find the particular agility of movements seen in the first chapter but further evolved and an even darker setting. Furthermore, the infected have evolved, moving in the shadows even during the day and coming out into the open at night, creating different situations depending on the state of the light.
