Epic Games makes Fortnite’s party chat system and anti-cheat free for everyone
Epic Games has decided to make Fortnite’s party chat system and anti-cheat free for everyone, as part of their Epic Online Services suite.
Epic Games announced that his anti-cheat system and application party chat compatible with all platforms have been added for free to the Epic Online Services package. In this way, developers have access to two excellent services compatible with development engines used on PC and console. Both services are used by Epic Games in Fortnite, for example.
The Anti-cheat system of Epic Games is not new, mind you, and in the past it has been offered for sale by Epic Games. Now, however, Epic has decided to offer this service in a free format: it is an important novelty that will help especially in the PC field, where cheaters thrive and many games struggle to implement effective security systems.
Fortnite’s anti-cheat system isn’t perfect, of course, but it’s a top-tier solution for those teams that don’t have the resources to create their own. We also specify that theEpic Online Services is not exclusive of the Unreal Engine and is easy to integrate with most of the well-known development engines, such as Unity. Epic Games obviously hopes this will encourage the cross-platform approach, of which it is standard bearer.
Staying on the Epic theme, we point out that Final Fantasy 7 Remake appears for PC in the Epic Games Store database. Together with him there was also space for Alan Wake Remastered!
