Fire Emblem: a remake is on the way according to a well-known leaker, here are the details
According to a well-known leaker, a remake of a chapter of Fire Emblem is on the way. Here’s everything we could find out.
Two years have passed since the arrival of Fire Emblem Three Houses and, looking at the classic game cadence of the series, it is credible that the publication of a new chapter is approaching. According to the well-known leaker Zippo, Nintendo is working on a new chapter or, to be more precise, on the remake of a game in the series.
Zippo explains that Intelligent Systems, based on the information obtained by him, is working on the remake of a Fire Emblem chapter for some time and development is “almost complete”. Zippo is not sure which chapter it is, but in his opinion it could be a remake of Genealogy of the Holy War – or the fourth main chapter of the series arrived on the NES – or The Binding Blade – sixth main chapter published on Game Boy Advance.
We note that both chapters only came out in Japan, as Zippo himself says: it would make perfect sense for one of these titles to get a remake operation with an international release. The series is also not new to remakes. The Nintendo DS game Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon is a remake of Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, never released outside of Japan before last year, when it arrived on the Switch. Instead, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia for 3DS was a remake of Fire Emblem Gaiden, also never released outside of Japan.
Obviously for now it is only an unverifiable rumor, but Zippo is a leaker I notice that at least it deserves to be heard. Additionally, Zippo also talked about Donkey Kong’s future, ready to return in style.
