Fortnite | Requirements to run the game will change with season 10

The system requirements for running the Fortnite on PC are built to scale in a wide variety of hardware configurations, but some of the cheaper options will no longer work when season 10 arrives next month.

According to a post on the game’s website, you will now have to have a graphics card compatible with DirectX 11 in order to continue playing, so if you are still playing on an older video card, you will have to do a small upgrade.

Starting in Season 10, the PC version of Fortnite will require a graphics card capable of running Microsoft’s DirectX 11.

Although Fortnite’s system requirements already require graphics cards with support for DirectX 11, we maintained online support for players with older graphics cards so they could continue playing.

However, when Season 10 is released, Fortnite will no longer be compatible with these older graphics cards. Epic Games said that this will allow development and testing efforts to focus on further optimizing the Fortnite experience for all players.
