Forza Horizon 4: Panic Button has optimized the game for Xbox Series X / S

Forza Horizon 4 will receive a Update Next Gen for Xbox Series X / S on Nov 10 (release date of the two new Microsoft consoles), but now we find out that the update was not serviced by Playground Games, but rather by Panic Button.

The responsible study (among others) of DOOM and Wolfenstein II The New Colossus conversions for Nintendo Switch worked with Playground Games to optimize Forza Horizon 4 for the two next-gen consoles. Unfortunately, the company did not reveal any other details, limiting itself to publishing a Tweet in which it is proud of the work done and thanks Playground for the opportunity.

As highlighted in our Xbox Series X review, the Forza Horizon 4 update double the frame rate and add improvements to texture filtering and shadow rendering. Important and certainly welcome but not too invasive interventions, despite this Microsoft’s commitment to wanting to make some great games in the Xbox One line shine.

Forza Horizon 4 is one of the most acclaimed episodes in the series, right now Turn10 is busy with the new Forza Motorsport for Xbox Series X while the future of Horizon is uncertain, with Playground Games working on Fable.
