Amazon is once again letting you order add-on items without a $25 minimum thanks to Amazon Day. You’ll get Amazon Day orders for the entire week in one day, even if all you order that week is an additional $2 item.
This replaces the previous method of ordering add-on items with no minimum purchase by asking Alexa. You can no longer ask Alexa to skip the minimum, but Amazon Day will.
To get around the minimum, all you need to do is purchase the companion item, go to the checkout screen, and switch your account to Amazon Day shipping.
For example, as Dan’s Deals points out, this bandage box is only $2.19, but it’s an add-on. When we add the item to our cart and go to the cart page, Amazon notifies us that the item will be shipped for free with Amazon Same Day Delivery.
At the checkout screen, the only option is Amazon Day delivery. if you have Amazon Prime, you can click “Put in your old one” and order the item without a minimum purchase. You’ll just have to wait for your Amazon Day.
When you order items in the future, you can choose to add them to your Amazon Day or with a normal option like free two-day Prime shipping. Selecting Amazon Day here does not require you to receive all of your orders on the day from Amazon, only the orders you add to your Amazon Day shipment.
This makes Amazon Prime much more useful. Now it’s possible to buy many more items on Amazon without having to place $25 orders. So what are you waiting for? Head over to Amazon.com and order all the extra items you want.
