Microsoft, Sony, Amazon, Google and EA: acquisitions and expansions in sight for all
According to insider Brad Sams, there are acquisitions in sight for all the major gaming companies including Microsoft, Amazon and Google above all but also Sony and EA.
We go back to talking about possibilities acquisitions in the videogame industry, with maneuvers that seem to affect all the major players in this market segment between Microsoft, Sony, Amazon, Google and EAagain according to the journalist and insider Brad Sams.
As it turns out, Microsoft, Amazon and Google should be the companies most serious about expanding with acquisitions of large caliberwhile Sony and EA would have smaller shares in their sights in terms of the money required and the size of the deal, but virtually all of these companies have plans to expand in the near future.
Brad Sams unveiled the matter in a recent YouTube video podcast, citing unspecified “internal sources” remained anonymous, so we can take everything exclusively as uncontrolled rumors. However, Sams has proved to be a rather reliable source in the past, albeit mainly linked to the Microsoft area.
We can therefore take this statement by Thurrott’s reporter with some seriousness, not least because its vagueness makes it somehow more probable that the issue will occur, to some extent. Expansions on the part of Microsoft, Amazon and Google in particular are quite likely, with the former clearly affirming its willingness to continue with the expansion, but Sony has also reported something like this, so we can expect perhaps more targeted acquisitions, as has already happened. in the past (and many think of BluePoint, in this case).
Electronic Arts, for its part, still has the probable acquisition of Codemasters at stake given the ongoing procedure, which also led to the withdrawal of the offer by Take Two, so all that remains is to wait for further developments on the issue.
