Nirvana Initiative by Spike Chunsoft: the sequel to AI: The Somnium Files coming?
Spike Chunsoft has launched a teaser site that could indicate the imminent arrival of a new adventure from Kotaro Uchikoshi.
Spike Chunsoft launched what appears to be the classic teaser site of Japanese tradition for a new game whose announcement should arrive within two days, apparently, currently identified as “Nirvana Initiative”.
It all started with a “Nine Eyes TV” page, which includes a series of puzzle translatable with the title in question, or Nirvana Initiative, which apparently indicates a new project, unless it is the actual title of the game in development.
By inserting these words within the string in which to enter the “password”, a countdown which expires in about 48 hours, or the morning of July 1st 2021, the date on which we should see the official announcement of the game, unless it is spoiled first in print magazines, as traditionally happens with these initiatives of the Japanese teams.
Also appears the url “https://www.spike-chunsoft.co.jp/ai-nirvana/en”, still not active, which suggests the title AI: Nirvana, which could indicate a sequel to AI: The Somnium Files, the game of Kotaro Uchikoshi, which is confirmed by the type of puzzles and the accompanying images, which could be part of the style.
The announcement of the new Uchikoshi game could therefore be coming, who has recently left Spike Shunsoft to found the Tom Kyo Games team, responsible among other things for World’s End Club, but remains linked to the label for the production of the his adventures as AI: The Somnium Files, so he may have another chapter in the series in the pipeline.
