This year, 4Gamer once again reached out to various developers to record their ambitions for the coming year at the turn of the year. Tomoya Asano from Square Enix also spoke up – with his “Team Asano” he is best known for the “Octopath Traveler” and “Bravely Default” games.
Asano and his team have a lot planned for 2024: “I think in 2024 we will be able to publish different titles and information, from big ones to less big ones. As I carefully complete these tasks, I will also prepare for future endeavors.”
Team Asano would like to publish several titles in 2024 – exciting. What this is about remains unclear for the time being. We could possibly expect a remaster of the first “Bravely Default” – Asano at least hinted at that in October 2022.
A sequel to the series is also being planned – when Asano hinted at this in September 2021, he was still talking about 3-4 years of development. Depending on how fast the team was and is, a “Bravely Default 3” could also play a role for 2024. Maybe we can also expect a completely new title in the style of “Triangle Strategy”. We can be excited.
