Destiny 2 – Location of the Crown of Thorns in the Night Chamber


The Crown of Thorns in Destiny 2 is an item that you will need in one of Shadowkeep’s side missions.

As you explore the Moon, you will take on a series of “Essence” missions, with a variety of tasks related to the Moon or Nightmare.

To complete the Essence of Vanity quest, you’ll have to find the Crown of Thorns inside the Night Chamber – a location that, at first glance, is not entirely obvious.

Where to find the Night Chamber in Destiny 2

Before we start, it is worthwhile to track this mission – although it will not guide you to the location, it will highlight the Crown of Thorns when you approach.

First, we have to reach the Night Chamber, an underground location deep within the Moon.

To get there, start at the Anchor of Light and follow the passage further east.

You will then arrive at Temple of Crota.


Enter the Temple and follow the location until you go down some steps and end up in a greenish area with many routes to follow.

At this point, go to the right and continue to the exit at the end.

This will take you to The World’s Grave.

Continue on this path until you reach a dead end with a staircase on the right – go up and continue through the passage on the left at the top.

Continue on this linear path, passing through a baseboard in the middle of the room on the other side, until you end up in a corridor that gets darker as you descend.

This will take you to the Night Chamber.

How to find the Crown of Thorns in Destiny 2

Now that we’ve found the Night Chamber, it’s time to find out the location of the Crown of Thorns.

This is quite easy – the Night Chamber is a linear (quite long) strip full of enemies, and you will have to reach the end.

If you played the original Destiny, everything around you will be very familiar as you move around.

Eventually, you will end up in a large open area with a rib-like structure on the right.

If you are tracking the quest, at this stage a marker should appear that takes you to a cave directly in front of you, in the furthest place.

At the base of the wall, interact with a command that says ‘Pick Up Weapon Part’ to obtain the Crown of Thorns.

Oh yes – there is also an Ogre here, in the cave! Now, you only have to complete the remaining Essences of Vanity missions.

Amazon Echo Show: Activate night mode – this is where the settings are hidden


The smart display of the Amazon Echo Show always stays on. So you can always keep an eye on the content of the start screen such as delivery notifications or the weather report. At night, however, the display activity can also be annoying – especially if the Echo Show is placed in the bedroom.

But that doesn’t mean your bedchamber isn’t a suitable place for the Echo Show to work. Because there are several ways to adapt the Amazon display to the desired conditions at night. In addition to voice commands or routines that turn off the Echo Show screen completely, the device series also has its own night mode.

    On your Echo Show’s home screen, swipe down from the top of the display to open the main menu.

    Click on “Settings” in the main menu.

    Beware, deception: If you look for the night mode under “Screen and brightness”, you won’t find it. The corresponding settings can actually be found under “Clock and Photo Viewer”.

    Under “Clock and Photo Viewer,” scroll down to the bottom and click on the “Night Mode” category under “Advanced Options.”

    Here you can now set whether the night mode should be activated at a certain time or whether the Echo Show should activate it automatically based on the lighting conditions in the room. There is also the option of configuring a time display for the night.
