Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, our commented gameplay

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, our commented gameplay

We flew to Paris to test Breakpoint, a new chapter in the Ghost Recon series. Here are his impressions, complete with gameplay!

When we flew to Paris to try Ghost Recon Breakpoint we expected a thorough test, but Ubisoft took the next step, giving us a virtually complete build of the game and a full six hours to test both the main campaign and competitive multiplayer. The new Ghost Recon is a rather extensive open world, so even with so much time available we could only scratch the tip of the iceberg, yet we still had the chance to go through the many mechanics that make it up.

Ghost of Tsushima isn’t the first: when video games are black and white

Now, it is not the case to expect a particularly innovative title: the base of Breakpoint is always that of Wildlands (which is obvious given the success of the title), and the title remains a shooter strongly focused on the four-player cooperative experience. New survival mechanics, a more complex progression, and a more accurate narrative, however, significantly raise the bar, making it an excellent choice for those who already had fun with the direct predecessor. We, for example, had a lot of fun during the rehearsal, and there was no lack of absurd moments. If you want a more detailed description, however, we refer you to the video (where we explain our experience step by step) and to our written preview.
