Juliette Binoche and Benoît Magimel met in 1999 and remained a couple until 2003. They recently found themselves on the set of the film “The Passion of Dodin Bouffant”.
Together, they formed one of the most glamorous couples in French cinema. And when they meet on screen, Juliette Binoche and Benoît Magimel still spark. Currently showing in the series The New Look by Todd A. Kessler, in which she plays Coco Chanel, the actress has barely come out of the promotion of the very beautiful The Passion of Dodin Bouffant by Tran Anh Hung… the recent opportunity for her to respond to her former companion.
Juliette Binoche and Benoît Magimel met in 1999 on the set of the film Children of the century, by Diane Kurys. Two decades later, here they are together again on a set… with pleasure, of course, but also with a certain fear in their stomachs. “I was nervous to find himadmits the actress in the pages of the magazine Vanity Fair. Of course, Juliette Binoche and Benoît Magimel maintained very cordial relations, although they did not see each other much for many years. They had, together, a daughter named Hannah in 1999 – the actress also had Raphaël with André Hallé’s diver in 1993. Today, they never stop giving each other little winks, pretty words, kisses in interviews… sometimes even teasing. Juliette Binoche did not hesitate to say that Benoît Magimel cried tears during the screening of The Passion of Dodin Bouffant at the Cannes International Film Festival, notably in front of the final scene – the gourmet feature film won the prize for directing. “It wasn’t little tears, but real sobsshe remembers. I was embarrassed, but at the same time died of laughter.”
