Sims 4: Playing multiple households on one property?

Anyone who has already spent an hour or two with the popular life simulation Sims 4 from Electronic Arts will probably have created and played a few households. In connection with households, sooner or later the question often arises as to how you can expand a household with additional Sims or move to another property. We also recently asked ourselves whether you can actually play multiple households on one property. Is it possible to live with two different households on one property and if so, how does it work?

Two or more households on one property at the same time?

What was possible in the predecessor in the form of Sims 3, at least indirectly with mods, is unfortunately not possible in The Sims 4. In The Sims 4 you can’t let several or even just households live on one lot and play. A plot of land is always limited to one household and nothing can be changed about that at the moment. It could well be possible that sooner or later a mod will appear that makes it possible for several households to live on one property, but at the moment we haven’t been able to find anything among the available mods here.

If you want to “play” with two households on one property, you can currently only send one household to visit the other household and thus interact with two households at the same time. Alternatively, you could of course simply create a large household and then edit the relationships accordingly. Currently, up to eight Sims can live in one household at a time.

Is it now possible to play two households on one property in Sims 4? If something has changed on the topic in the meantime, we would be happy to receive a brief note in the comments and we will then add the information here.
