Louis Vuitton opens its first pastry-chocolate shop in Paris

Louis Vuitton is getting into baking. Indeed, the luxury house continues to propagate its vision of the French art of living by opening the doors to its brand new location: the LV Dream. A space which contains both a boutique but above all a café expert in fine pastries and gourmet chocolates. In charge? The 3-star pastry chef at Cheval Blanc, Maxime Frédéric. Known for his intransigence regarding the choice of his ingredients, he notably creates a chocolate éclair with the Louis Vuitton logo or a vanilla-hazelnut-chocolate cake decorated with the brand’s monogram. If you choose to eat your pastries on site, the LV Dream offers a bird’s eye view of the Seine, all in a lush tropical garden setting. For chocolate lovers, it’s just a stone’s throw from there. Within the chocolate factory, there are checkerboard-shaped tablets, or even soft marshmallows which have everything that is most comforting. The final touch: an assortment of Louis Vuitton-branded chocolates, presented in emblematic boxes of the house.

Located at 2 rue du Pont-Neuf, the LV Dream also hosts a free interactive exhibition where Louis Vuitton pays tribute to the creators with whom the brand has collaborated and traces the evolution of its know-how over time. The boutique offers creations with an exclusive logo dedicated to the exhibition, but also a selection of small leather goods, accessories, and perfumes. The opening is scheduled for December 12.

A 5-star CV

Before working in the kitchens of Louis Vuitton, Maxime Frédéric worked at Le Meurice with Cédric Grolet and the Four Season Georges V. He was awarded the pastry chef of the year 2022 prize at Gault & Millau and is today at the helm of the Cheval Blanc delicacies. A 5-star CV that whets the appetite.

Big Red Boots, Louis Vuitton micro-bag… Here are the 5 craziest products imagined by MSCHF

Crazy products, every brand has a few in stock. The American label MSCHF has made it its business. By browsing the website of the New York group, a virtual journey between sweet follies and eccentricities is offered to us. It was in 2016 that the art collective launched under the name MSCHF Product Studio, Inc. Four years later, the team released its first product: The Persistence of Chaos, a laptop loaded with six notorious malware for doing a lot of damage in the past of computing. Since then, dozens of creations have made him famous worldwide. Here are 5 of the craziest ones.

The orthopedic walking boot

This is the first orthopedic walking shoe that has no medical purpose… On October 19, 2022, the MSCHF collective launched its AC.1 sneaker which is inspired by the famous support boot. The latter has been reworked to remove its uncomfortable appearance and make it worthy of a haute couture product. Thanks to its padded insole and robust outsole, it can be worn every day like any pair of Adidas or New Balance!

Astro Boy’s boots

It’s probably the sneaker that has had the biggest success on social networks. When we talk about success we talk about both admiration and incomprehension. Its XXL boots are directly inspired by the 50s cartoon character Astro Boy. Since “democratized”, the Big Red Boots are also available in white, yellow and most recently even black.

The Louis Vuitton micro-bag

The smallest bag in the world… Recently, MSCHF made the rounds on social networks again with its reproduction of the Louis Vuitton OnTheGo bag in a tiny version. And for good reason, with its dimensions smaller than a grain of rice (657 by 222 by 700 micrometers), it does not even fit on the little finger! At auction, it still sold for $63,000.
