On Instagram, the chef of the establishment Alexandre Gauthier published several photos in his story this Saturday, November 11, showing the restaurant completely flooded.
“The winter will not be what we had expected, wetter and much more severe,” he wrote.
“We will come back stronger”
In the photos, the water invaded the entire restaurant room, reaching halfway up the few stools present.
“We will come back stronger,” promised the starred chef.
La Grenouillère is a double Michelin-starred restaurant. It is also part of the ranking of the 50 best restaurants in the world established by 50best.
The chef has received support on social networks from many other chefs, such as Jérôme Banctel, David Gallienne and Laurent Mariotte. Météo-France maintained the red flood alert this Saturday in Pas-de-Calais.
