Among all the movies that Marvel Studios has released over the years, one that has stood out above all the others has undoubtedly been Captain America and the Winter Soldier. The sequel starring Chris Evans was a real surprise and became one of the audience’s favorites, as well as for its protagonist.
During the Emerald City Comic Con, Chris Evans told a fan that this production was, without a doubt, the one he enjoyed the most in his entire career within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, even ahead of films like Civil War or Endgame, which for many are much more important for the studio.
“It’s my favorite Marvel movie I’ve ever been in. It’s not just the movie itself, but the experience. In the first movie I was very nervous. You know what you’re getting into and as a result you’re playing defense.” and you’re playing not to lose. When The Winter Soldier came along, we were playing to win. Evans revealed that, having already had more filming in the saga after the first installment of Captain America and The Avengers, he seemed much more prepared to play Steve Rogers. His development as a character took a very interesting direction and this installment was a turning point for him, since one of his best friends would appear as a villain, in addition to the return of Hydra.
We don’t know if Chris Evans will return to the MCU in the short term, but one thing is certain: his role as Captain America will go down in history, as will the Hombre de Hierro by Robert Downey Jr., for being the headliner of one of the most successful franchises that the film and television industry has produced.
