Life is Strange will continue expanding its story with a new comic

The next Life is Strange comic will arrive in 2024 and will continue the story of True Colors, the latest installment of the saga

Lovers of story-focused video games have made Life is Strange one of the most valued sagas of recent times. It is no wonder, since the franchise previously in the hands of Don’t Nod and now in charge of Deck Nine has offered us plots full of memorable characters and powerful and exciting stories.

In that sense, we have now learned that Life is Strange will continue expanding its story with a new comic. This is not unexplored territory for the Square Enix-owned franchise, as the original video game already had a comic series that explored the future of Max Caulfield and Chloe Price after leaving Arcadia Bay, opting for one of the possible endings of the game. The new story will follow similar paths.

Life is Strange will continue expanding its story with a new comic

It’s been more than two years since Life is Strange: True Colors, the last installment so far of the saga and the second one in charge of Deck Nine (which also developed, Life is Strange: Before the Storm). With the empathic Alex Chen as the protagonist, the game placed us in a new location and introduced us to many new characters in a story full of mystery and repressed memories of the past. This is the game to which the new comic will continue of the series.

As you can see in the tweet above, its title will be Heatwaves and will explore a possible future starting from one of the True Colors endings in which Alex and Steph, one of the romantic interests in the game, go off to embark on their own adventure as a couple. As has been told in the first and still brief details of the story, it will talk about how both find themselves in a new, small town where, once again, buried stories and family secrets will play a fundamental role.

Heatwaves will be a collaboration with Titan Books and it is written by Brittney Morris, who has worked at Insomniac Games on games like Spider-Man 2 or the next Wolverine. The new Life is Strange comic is scheduled for release on April 9, 2024although for now there are no details about the stores that will distribute it or if it can be purchased directly from any store in Spain or Europe.
