If you run a Discord server yourself and have created a few channels, you might accidentally delete a channel over time and then ask yourself, can you undo it? How to restore a deleted Discord channel and is it even possible? Since we are probably not alone with this question, we have created a short guide here on what is possible and what is not.
Restore deleted Discord channels?
If you have deleted a channel on Discord, regardless of whether the channel is a text channel or text chat or a voice channel or voice chat, you cannot undo this directly. If you delete a channel using the “Delete” button, a message will be displayed stating that you cannot undo the deletion.
Backup and undelete Discord channel
But there is a way to restore deleted Discord channels, provided you have made a backup of them beforehand. With the Xenon bot you can make a backup of a Discord server or the roles and channel you have created in no time (in the premium version, the messages in the Discord channel are also backed up and can be restored). The Discord backup with the roles and channel can then be reimported relatively easily and thus restore a deleted channel. Of course, the prerequisite is that you have created the backup before accidentally deleting the channel or channels. The Xenon-Bot is very simple and self-explanatory to set up and use; further information can be found on the linked website from the Discord bot.
Has anything changed on the topic in the meantime and can you restore a deleted Discord channel? If something has changed, we would be happy to receive a brief note in the comments.
