The store’s task is to offer the user a selection so that they can use “the largest possible range of applications”. There are currently more than 200 applications in the store, compared to only 100 at the time of release.
However, it is not clear how it plans to give the iPhone access to the store. To do this, you need to jailbreak, which allows you to install programs from third-party stores, but this may result in the user account being blocked in iCloud.
