Update – Internet banking disruption at ABN Amro

There is a major disruption to internet banking at the Dutch bank ABN Amro. Many reports are made via Allestoringen about problems with arranging financial matters via the internet. The question remains how long the disruption will last.

Update – Outage over

The disruption is now over and you can breathe a sigh of relief if you are registered with ABN Amro. The malfunction has been resolved and you can now use internet banking again.

Between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. there is a peak in reports made via Allestoringen. In a short time, there were more than 200 reports of problems with ABN Amro’s internet banking. This counter is still increasing. It must be stated that Allestoringen does not always have its finger on the pulse of malfunctions by means of a sampling system.

There is no mention of a malfunction on the official site of the Dutch bank. SamaGame has also tested whether there is a malfunction and received the following message when attempting to log in: MESSAGE-WEB000-999. This indicates that it is a technical error, which makes it appear to be a malfunction.

It is currently unclear how long the outage will last. When there is more clarity about this, we will update this message.
