A Minecraft player combines more than 6 million skins into a single skin

Minecraft is a game that allows its users to customize their characters with different textures called skins. These skins can be created by the players themselves or chosen from a variety of predetermined options. However, what would happen if a large number of skins were combined into one? That’s what a Minecraft player has done, who has managed to mix more than 6 million skins in a single skin.

The author of this feat is Dinhero21, a Minecraft fan who has shared his project in the game community. Dinhero21 has used a total of 6,749,939 skins to create a new skin that has a very familiar look: He looks a lot like Steve, the default Minecraft character. The only notable difference is that the skin has larger eyes and duller colors.

As he explains, he has used a method that consists of calculating the average color of each pixel by skin and apply that color to the corresponding pixel in a model. In this way, you have obtained a skin that represents the average of all the skins used.

The result is surprising, but not so surprising if you take into account that many of the Minecraft skins are variations of Steve, with small changes in the design. In fact, it is estimated that there are a total of (2^32)^1632 possible appearances for the original Minecraft model, which means that the skins used by Dinhero21 are only a fraction of the potential ones.

Minecraft is a game that has always focused on the player’s expression, and that is why it offers the possibility of customizing the skins. Additionally, in recent years, Mojang has added new default skins to the game, beyond the classic Steve and Alex ones. With this project, Dinhero21 has shown that Minecraft skins are a source of creativity and fun for fans of the game.
