Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: Theme song is released as a single and in a limited edition

Sometimes publishers work with real singers for their video games and if everything works out, then the fans can look forward not only to a soundtrack, but even to a single release, as they are known from the music industry.

This honor will now be the joy of fans Loren Allred and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth allocated. The American singer and songwriter sings “No Promises to Keep”, the game’s theme song, composed by Nobuo Uematsu. Square Enix is releasing a maxi single and even a limited edition.

There are four versions of “No Promises to Keep” on both singles, including the version from the game, an instrumental version and a version recorded by Nobue Uematsu’s band conTIKI.

The limited edition, which is available at Amazon.co.jp, includes a メガジャケ, a “mega jacket” – this is a 24 x 24 cm case with a beautiful motif. But both variants are out of stock on Amazon.co.jp anyway.

You can still pre-order from CD Japan*. In the Japanese Square Enix store, which does not deliver to Germany, there is a cool, fictional employee ID card from LOVELESS as a bonus. Whether you can still find the single in the German Square Enix Store remains to be seen today. The single will be released in Japan on April 3, 2024.

The title song will be heard for the first time during a performance of LOVELESS in the game; excerpts from it have already been offered in a trailer. “Composer Nobuo Uematsu is a musical visionary who has given so much to the world of Final Fantasy, and it was a great honor to work with such an innovative talent,” said Loren Allred.
