Borderlands the Movie: all the easter eggs and references hidden in the film’s first trailer


Although we weren’t quite sure what to expect from , the The first trailer for the film starring Cate Blanchet, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Hart and Jack Black has shown us that all the DNA of the Gearbox Software and 2K franchise is present in this production.

Randy Pitchford himself, head of Gearbos Software, analyzed the trailer and explained that They were very involved with the project.

Although the first preview of the film is less than three minutes, they are tons of references those we find in this recreation of the video game. Below we review the most striking ones.

DAHL logos

The brand of the company that was responsible for colonizing Pandora is found everywhere in the movie and is no exception. The logo of this company is practically the first thing we see in the trailer.

Atlas Corporation

The interplanetary weapons-making megacorporation, Atlas, will be very present in the film. Kilian Atlas, CEO of this company, will be shown for the first time in the film and will be one of the main antagonists.

Hyperion

Although we don’t have Handsome Jack here, references to his corporation are also present in the film.

Inside the chambers

The premise of the franchise has always been that there are chambers within which there is enormous riches. The ‘camera hunters’ have always tried to get to them. The trailer also shows what the inside of one of these cameras looks like.

Marcus Bus

This iconic Borderlands vehicle has been recreated for the film with a close resemblance.
