Build a railway in 1800 and lay tracks

How can you actually get in Anno 1800 one Build a railway? How can I do that? Lay railsto make the train go back and forth between the buildings? Most of the goods from the production buildings are transported back and forth along dirt roads and later as well as paved roads to get them to the warehouse. But there are also goods that have to be brought to the warehouse or, more precisely, to the refinery and port by train. This is of course about the oil, which has to be transported from the oil refinery to the oil port and from there to the power plant so that electricity can be generated.

Anno 1800: Laying rails for the railway

If you want to drive the railway and lay tracks in Anno 1800, you first have to unlock the engineers. With the population group, not only the oil refinery and the drilling rigs are unlocked, but also the oil port, the power plant and the railway tracks.

  1. Under the “Engineers” and the “Electricity” category you will find the “Railroad Tracks”.
  2. You can easily lay the tracks with the mouse like a dirt road or cobbled streets and connect them to the buildings. The rails can also be dragged over a field path, but only over one field and not over a complete path.
  3. To create a switch you simply have to place a new rail on the existing rail and drag the cursor in the appropriate direction. Alternatively, you can place a building like the power plant directly on the railway track and a switch should then be created automatically.

In order to allow more trains to run on the rails, you have to upgrade the small oil port to a large oil port. At a small oil port there are three trains, at a medium oil port there are four trains and at a large oil port there are five trains on the tracks. You can only build one oil port per island. You can now ship and transport the oil from the oil port by oil tanker.
