Call of Duty silver and gold bars: is it worth buying?

To mark the 20th anniversary of , precious metal specialist PAMP is bringing limited edition silver and gold bars onto the market.

5,000 gold bars and 15,000 silver bars – that’s how many examples of a collection the Swiss manufacturer PAMP () produces. The collectibles, officially licensed by Activision Blizzard, including an embossed game logo and Captain Price artwork, are delivered in a case – including a code for an exclusive in-game item for use in .

The collection is sold through specialized precious metal retailers – orders can be placed immediately. The price is – depending on the dealer – around €490 for the gold version (5 grams) and €138 for the silver bar (1 ounce = approx. 31 grams); Added to this are the corresponding shipping costs.

For comparison: an ordinary 5 gram gold bar costs around €320 from reputable dealers – 1 ounce of silver can be had for just €30. The premiums for the series are therefore significant.
