The “Handguns” skill in Cyberpunk 2077 essentially determines – big surprise! – How well you are in dealing with it and how efficiently you can use the little noisemakers in the many shootings. Handgun Rewards: Unlock all level bonuses

In addition to the level-related rewards, points in handguns also give you access to special benefits that you can activate or leave out as you see fit. These include the following bonuses:

  • Rio Bravo (3 levels) = Increases the damage multiplier for headshots with revolvers and pistols by 10% / 20% / 30% (requires: 5 reflexes)
  • Desperado (3 levels) = Increases the damage with revolvers and pistols by 3% / 6% / 10% (requires: 5 reflexes)
  • Between the door and hinge (2 steps) = Reduces the time to pull and poke revolvers and pistols by 25% / 50% (requires: 7 reflexes)
  • No escape (2 levels) = Increases the damage to enemies that are more than 5m away by 15% / 25% (requires 7 reflexes)
  • Steady hand (1 level) = Reduces recoil from revolvers and pistols by 30% (requires 9 reflexes)
  • OK Corral (1 level) = Increases damage to enemies whose health is below 25% by 50% (requires 9 reflexes)
  • Vanishing point Night City (1 level) = after an evasive maneuver with a drawn pistol or revolver, evasion is increased by 25% for 6 seconds (requires: 9 reflexes)
  • For a handful of Eurodollars (2 levels) = Increases the critical damage of revolvers or pistols by 10% / 20% (requires: 11 reflexes)
  • From head to toe (2 levels) = increases the damage done to limbs with revolvers / pistols by 7% / 15% (requires: 11 reflexes)
  • The grand finale (1 stage) = The last bullet in the magazine causes double the damage (requires: 12 reflexes)
  • Acrobatic (1 level) = Enables evasion when aiming with a handgun (requires: 12 reflexes)
  • Continuous fire (1 level) = Firing several shots in a row at the same target increases the damage by 10% (requires: 14 reflexes)
  • Wild West (1 level) = When firing at distant targets, there is no longer any damage deduction (requires: 14 reflexes)
  • Snowball effect (1 level) = after a defeated enemy, the rate of fire of revolvers is increased by 5% for 6 seconds – 5x stackable (requires: 16 reflexes)
  • Westworld (1 level) = Increases the critical strike chance for fully modified handguns by 10% (requires: 16 reflexes)
  • Perforated with lead (1 level) = enables shooting when dodging (requires: 18 reflexes)
  • Brain fat (1 level) = After a headshot, the critical hit chance is increased by 25% for 5 seconds (requires: 20 reflexes)

Handgun Trait: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

If you bring the handgun skill to the highest level (20), this trait will be unlocked. The effect: If you land a critical hit with a handgun, your damage and armor increase by 30% for five seconds. For every advantage point that you invest afterwards, the values ​​increase by 1%.
