Disney Dreamlight Valley Press Start Quest (Vanellope)

Once you reach friendship level 10, you can pick up the quest called “Press Start” from Vanellope. As part of the quest you have to show Vanellope some hobbies in the valley and these include, among other things, mining gemstones, fishing for fish and also planting and harvesting crops. Afterwards, Vanellope hides and you have to find her hiding place using several clues from the residents. In this article, we have created a quick walkthrough for Vanellope’s “Press Start” quest.

Press Start: Vanellope Quest Solution

After you have picked up the quest from Vanellope and started it, you start straight away with the first task “Show Vanellope a few hobbies in the valley”.

  • Mine gems (3x)
  • Catch fish (5x)
  • Plant crops (30x)
  • Harvest plants or fruits (30x)

The tasks are pretty self-explanatory, so mine a few gems for the rock deposits, catch a few random fish with a fishing rod and plant and harvest random crops. The “Harvest” task also allows you to pick bushes such as raspberry bushes to save yourself the wait until the harvest. Of course, it’s best to choose a crop with a short growing period, such as wheat.

Find Vanellope’s dark and dangerous hideout

After showing Vanellope the hobbies in the valley, a little game of hide-and-seek starts. To do this you have to go to Scrooge’s shop and then find “Vanellope’s dark and dangerous hiding place”. The clues to the hiding place can be obtained by questioning Nala, Mickey Mouse and Mirabel. After questioning, the quest description changes to “Search for Vanellope in a dark and dusty place on the Sunny Plains.” The hideout is located in the Vitalys Mine on the Sunny Plain. In the mine you then have to follow the trail of sweets to find Vanellope. The sweets are clearly visible on the floor every few meters. As soon as you have discovered Vanellope in the mine, a race to the outer mine entrance begins. You then have to catch any three fish within 3 minutes and the “Press Start” quest is then successfully completed.

Some players are reporting a bug in the “Press Start” quest where Vanellope cannot be found in the mine. For some players, reloading the save file is said to have helped. You should also collect the entire candy trail.
