GTA Online: Smoking cigarettes

How do you actually smoke a cigarette in GTA Online? Where can you buy and smoke cigarettes? Anyone who has spent an hour or two in the world of Grand Theft Auto Online will probably have seen some players in Los Santos smoking a cigarette. Similar to Grand Theft Auto 5’s single-player mode, you can also smoke online and in this short guide we’ll show you how it all works.

to smoke cigarettes

If you want to smoke a virtual cigarette in GTA Online, you simply have to open the interaction menu and then select the “snacks” from the “inventory”. Among the snacks you will not only find the EgoChaser or the Meteorite and the eCola, but also an entry for the “”. As soon as you select the butts in the inventory among the snacks, the character lights a cigarette and starts smoking. As soon as you start sprinting, the character throws the cigarette directly onto the ground.

  1. Open interaction menu (PC: M button, PS4/PS5: touchpad, Xbox One/Series: view button)
  2. Open “Snacks” under the “Inventory” menu item.
  3. Select and use the “tilts” at the bottom.

Be careful, just like in real life, smoking in Grand Theft Auto Online is harmful to your health. With each move, the health bar decreases a little. Of course, you can then immediately replenish your life points with a snack.

buy cigarettes

Cigarettes can also be bought in any kiosk, just like snacks. Unlike in the inventory, the items here are not called “tipping” but rather a “packet of redwood” for 7 Los Santos dollars for the box. Occasionally you will find a box on the floor.
