In the League of Legends Season Starter Vlog, a list of upcoming skins was revealed, and your favorite could be getting a skin very soon!
Before each season of League of Legends, Riot reveals some champions who will receive skins, as well as popular themes that will return. For League’s fifteenth anniversary, the skins team has some pretty cool stuff planned and some popular champions will be getting skins again.
We also have the list of champions receiving prestige skins for the first half of the year, so you know which champions to save your Mythic Essence and RP for.
LoL: new skins for the Lunar New Year
In 2024, Riot will once again celebrate the Lunar New Year. They announced that the popular Porcelain skin series would return in 2024, while also adding a brand new line of skins called Heavenscale, which should pay homage to the cultural heritage of the holiday.
This new line of skins will feature deities who take on human appearances to descend from their palaces to attend mortal celebrations. This is a more historical skin line that draws inspiration from traditional clothing fashion. These look crazy.

As mentioned, Porcelain is also making a comeback, with an older Porcelain skin this time receiving a prestige version.

These skins are all expected to be released in LoL Patch 14.3 and LoL Patch 14.4.
Skin lines returning in 2024
In 2024, Riot will bring back some favorites. During the first half of the year, we can expect some Faerie Court skins, as well as PROJECT and Blood Moon to return. Faerie Court has been a huge success in 2023 and is shaping up to be another success this year.
Old legendary skins receive updates
Legendary skins haven’t always been the same. Riot will also update older legendary skins by giving them borders, which newer ones already have. So, which skins are on the list to get upgrades to their legendary skins in 2024?

- Tristana, Dragon Tamer
Dragon Trainer Tristana should already have her border available with the first patch of the year, so you should be able to pick it up with the start of the new LoL season.
Rammus and Olaf, two champions in desperate need of new skins, are also set to receive new ones this year, so keep an eye out for those.
