New EA FC 24 icons: leaks show more icons coming to FIFA…

EA will be releasing new icons in EA FC 24. Along with a revamped icon chemistry system, we’ll see the first-ever female icons and new legendary names for males. While the latest leaks suggest that the long-awaited Arjen Robben won’t make an appearance in the new FIFA 24, there’s a silver lining: another brand new icon will be joining the roster.

EA Sports is making a change. Instead of FIFA 24, we will buy EA Sports FC 24 this season. With the new name of the football simulation, many new features and other innovations can be expected. The biggest change is the inclusion of women in Ultimate Team. Developers are taking new paths – we look forward to it!

The first female icon in FUT history has already been confirmed by EA with Mia Hamm as seen on the cover of the Ultimate Edition. She retired in 2004, scored 158 goals in 276 games for the United States and will certainly be playable. As a petite (5’5″), nimble, and strong finisher and dribbler, she could fit right into the EA FC 24 meta.

EA 24 New Icons Confirmed – Leaks Reveal More FIFA 24 Icons

EA has already confirmed new icons in the form of special cards for women. The most exciting part, however, are the new icons that have yet to be revealed.

According to a well-known leaker, there are only four new female icons in total – but we expect more to come as the male icon lineup includes over 100 players.

Abily, Prinz and Smith are coming too!

Mia Hamm won’t be the only female icon!

Alongside Birgit Prinz, Camille Abily, Kelly Smith, A new leak announces Homare Sawa!

She is considered by many to be one of the greatest footballers of all time and the greatest Asian footballer of all time.

FUT Sheriff, a reputable source on Twitter(x), has released a list of likely candidates for new Icons in EA FC 24. According to this insider information, Franck Ribery, Zico and Sir Bobby Charlton are already considered confirmed additions.

It should be crazy

As for the final EA FC 24 male icon, the candidates seem to be Arjen Robben, Sergio Agüero or Michel Platini. While we’d love to see all three, this latest leak is particularly disappointing as it seems to confirm that Arjen Robben’s inclusion will take place in at least a year.

EA only introduced three new icons in FIFA 23 with Gerd Müller, Xabi Alonso and Jairzinho, so we will only be able to get three new icons in EA FC 24.

And again… Confirmed no Arjen Robben on EA FC

It could be so huge…

EA Confirms New Icon Chemistry System, Removes Icon Versions

Moreover, EA has confirmed that Icons will provide more chemistry than in FIFA 23 which just makes sense because their link wasn’t particularly well done to be honest.

Another big surprise was the removal of different versions of Icon. We will see only one base version for each icon, and upgrades will come with promotions and events to Ultimate Team – like TOTY icons or FIFA 23 Shapeshifter icons.

We also remember the case of Diego Maradona, whose rights were disputed for a long time after his death. Eventually, EA was forced to remove Maradona from the game.

The transfer of rights for Zico was apparently also in limbo for a long time, but it looks like a deal has been struck. So, in EA Sports FC, you will probably be able to play with the “White Pelé”.

We hope that another exceptional Brazilian player will enrich our teams. To ensure you have the best start in the new game, we also show you how to get early access to EA FC 24!

All icons in EA FC 24: 100+ icons

Last season, EA removed a few icons, removing a total of eight. The mentioned Maradona due to rights issues, as well as Deco, Ryan Giggs, Pep Guardiola and Fillippo Inzaghi. However, it is different for Hidetoshi Nakata And Jay-Jay Okocha, as they are still in the game but have been downgraded to FUT Heroes.

Marc Overmars, on the other hand, managed to destroy his legendary status on his own. The former Ajax star was kicked out of the club for ___ual assault – and was previously sent off in FIFA 22, then doesn’t appear in the FIFA 23 roster (rightly so).

We expect EA to remove a few icons again in EA FC24 – if only to avoid having too many in the packs. Not that we all only play with icons… But just to keep the list from getting too long, you know?

However, assuming that women will also receive icons and that we will play with mixed teams in FUT, we are confident that the 100 mark will be exceeded again.
