Snapchat invalid photo: what to do?

If you get an error message on Snapchat with the “Invalid photo” is displayed in the cameos, then you should firstly check the internet connection and secondly make sure that the selfie is well lit and that the face is in the middle of the marking. If a blue frame appears around the face, you can tap “Create my Cameo” at the bottom and the selfie will be taken.

Sometimes when you take a selfie, the error message “Invalid photo” appears even though the lighting is good and the face is in the middle. In this case, you should restart the Snapchat app and/or log out of the settings and log in again. You should also make sure that you have the latest version of the Snapchat app installed. If nothing helps, sometimes reinstalling the app can fix the problems with the app.

  • Light the selfie well and make sure that the face is in the middle of the marking
  • Restart the Snapchat app or your cell phone completely
  • Clear the Snapchat cache once via the settings, log out and log in again
  • Completely uninstall and reinstall the Snapchat app

Cameos not showing?

If the Cameos are not even displayed and cannot be selected, then it is most likely due to the smartphone. There are some reports online that you cannot use the Cameos on older smartphones. In this case, the tab for the cameos will not be displayed in the “chat” at all.
