IN LETTER:
The guide that was sent to the reviewers of Cyberpunk 2077 reveals a lot of numbers related to the game scenario. It turns out that if you counted the number of words in the latest CD Projekt RED production, then it would be bigger than many books – including the famous fantasy series Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien.
In the English version of Cyberpunk 2077 we will find a total of 73 789 dialogue lines (of which 7959 are player-selected lines). This translates to 2,661,122 characters with no spaces and 590,480 words. For comparison, the entire series of The Lord of the Rings in combination with the Hobbit preceding it, i.e. back and forth, consists of 576,459 words. In turn, Atlas of the rebellious writer Ayn Rand has 561,996 words.
It is worth noting that the Polish production is less impressive compared to, for example, Red Dead Redemption 2 – developers from Rockstar Games once informed that more than half a million lines of dialogue.
It should also be added that dialogue issues in Cyberpunk 2077 they are often different in the case of the male and female versions of V, and in such situations they are counted separately. However, due to the fact that we are talking about the English edition, there are not as many differences of this type as it might seem (there would be more of them in Polish, which results directly from the specificity of our speech).
Interestingly, if you wanted to listen to all the dialogues in the game in each of the available languages, it would take – a trifle – 466 hours. But it’s probably better to just play.
