Learn to cook with WhatsApp: Maggi brings chatbot KIM to your smartphone

Anyone who wants to try out new recipes or learn to cook now has an additional option via WhatsApp. With KIM (Kitchen Intelligence by Maggi), Nestlé not only wants to show you new recipes, but also provide an interactive cooking course that provides a lot of different information.

The WhatsApp cooking course “Just Learn to Cook” conveys the basics and offers knowledge about meat, fish and quick 15-minute recipes. There are also specialized cooking courses such as “Bella Italia”. All recipes are designed to be interactive and come with instructions and videos to make trying them out as easy as possible.

Cooking class via text chat

Anyone who uses the KIM chatbot on WhatsApp via the phone number +49 151 57 22 66 07 If you write to us with the message “Start cooking course”, you will receive a message directly from the Maggi cooking studio. Here you can choose from additional terms and navigate your way through over 2,500 recipes. These are arranged in different categories.

So it’s not just beginners who want to learn how to cook that have some options. It is also possible to have recipes spit out according to certain criteria. Among other things, you can also filter for vegetarian or vegan. You can even enter intolerances or ask questions directly to the Maggi cooking assistant.

KIM by Maggi: Chatbot also on Facebook

Some people may already know KIM. As early as 2017, Maggi and Nestlé introduced “artificial intelligence” for cooking on Facebook Messenger. A migration to WhatsApp is therefore simply a logical step to significantly expand the customer base.

With Facebook, however, you have to start a text chat via the company’s Facebook page in order to use KIM. The range of functions is identical to the WhatsApp version.
