In the new Disney Dreamlight Valley, as part of some quests and tasks, you will receive very special items that you cannot normally find in the game world. However, in the current version of the game there are always problems with the items, or rather quest items, and suddenly the item is gone. This may also be the case for some players in the quest called “Peacemaker”, where you receive the so-called leader shard from Moana and Maui. After preparing the three dishes and listening to the two talk, you should normally get the Leader Shard. You need the shard to complete the quest. But what can you do if you haven’t received the item?

The Leader Shard issue in Dreamlight Valley appears to be affecting some players, according to reports (see linked Reddit thread, which is just one of many). If the item is not displayed, then the leader shard is usually not gone and glided away somewhere in the infinite virtual worlds, but rather the leader shard has simply not been spawned at the character’s feet.
To solve the “problem” you have to search the area around the meeting between Moana and Maui. Sometimes the Leader Shard spawns on the stairs from the peaceful meadow to the dazzling beach. Sometimes the shard is also hanging behind Remy’s restaurant and some players even report that the shard has spawned in areas or biomes that have not yet been unlocked.
In short, the “leader shard” bug will probably be fixed in future updates. If you haven’t received the item, you should look around the meeting point of Moana and Maui. If you don’t find what you’re looking for there, you’ll have to search the map for better or worse.
