Instagram Highlight Cover Zoom

How can you at Instagram the Zoom highlight cover and make bigger? Is there a trick with which you can make the highlight cover appear larger via zoom? Anyone who uses the Instagram app and occasionally posts one or two pictures or videos to their feed will perhaps also post one or two posts to the story. The posts uploaded to the story will be automatically deleted after 24 hours if you do not delete them manually beforehand. If you want to make the Instagram story available longer, you can move it to the highlights. The story highlights are NOT automatically deleted after 24 hours and are displayed on the profile until you delete them manually. The individual highlights can be moved to different “folders” and, in addition to a title, you can also store a cover. With the latter, the question often arises, how can you zoom and enlarge the highlight cover?

Zoom Instagram highlight covers

You can do this in the Instagram app itself Do not zoom or enlarge highlight covers. However, there is a “trick” that allows you to display the cover larger. To do the trick, you have to go to the Instagram website (not the app!), open the profile and then right-click on the highlight cover. You can then display the image in a new tab. This means you can display the highlight cover on the one hand, and you can also zoom on it on the other. The zoom works on the PC via the conventional browser zoom by holding the CTRL key and moving the mouse wheel forward or back. On your phone you can simply zoom in on the highlight cover using the zoom gesture.

  1. First, go to the Instagram website and log in (if it is a public profile, then you can save yourself the login).
  2. Open the person’s profile, right-click on the highlight cover and open it in a new tab.
  3. You can then zoom into the cover using the browser zoom.

Enlarge highlight cover in full resolution?

Unlike profile pictures on Instagram, you can unfortunately no longer enlarge the highlight covers by changing the URL. In the URL of the highlight cover you can still find the resolution as “s150x150”, but you cannot change or delete this. If you remove the part with the resolution, you will only get the error message “URL signature mismatch” instead of the highlight cover.
