Crossout’s post-apocalyptic world just looks better!

Gaijin Entertainment announces the release of the Supercharged update for its online action game Crossout. The update to version 2.0 of the Targem Engine fundamentally optimizes the representation of furious battles with post-apocalyptic armored vehicles on all platforms, while the new controls, sound, camera and interface ensure more comfort and a more immersive gaming experience.

The PC version of Crossout also now supports NVIDIA DLSS 2 technology, which enables high-resolution images and high frame rates at the same time. Battles in Crossout are now even more varied thanks to a new PvP map, new parts for crafting post-apocalyptic armored vehicles, and the limited-time Witch Hunt mode.

Global illumination, contact shadows (SSC), local reflections in screen space (SSLR) – these are just some of the technologies that have been added with the switch to Targem Engine 2.0.

You can see the effects of the individual technologies on the new look of Crossout in the trailer and other videos:

Additionally, new and revised effects – such as motion blur, lens flare, bloom and updated post-processing – can be customized by the player as desired.

“With the Supercharged update, we have not only further developed Crossout technologically, but also fundamentally overhauled the visual style, controls and gameplay. To make it easier for experienced wasteland warriors to get started with the new Crossout, many features – such as the operation of the camera or the new hovercraft control system – can be adjusted to offer the most comfortable gaming experience possible,” said Stanislav Skorb, head of Crossout.
