What is leather used for?
Leather is required to make Harnesses and necklaces for your buddies. The first one is for enabling your partner’s skills, and the second one allows you to always keep your buddy with you while you’re out exploring.
To craft a Pal Gear, you must first unlock the Pal Gear workbench and place it on the ground. Once you’ve completed the building process, you’ll be able to use the workbench to craft any harness, necklace, or buddy-related item you unlock.
Where to farm leather in Palworld
The best way to farm skin in Palworld is in the open areas of each island, where you’ll always find plenty of buddies dropping skin. The best place to farm skin is the starting area The grassy hills of Bohemothwhich you will find on the Plateau of Beginnings.
Depending on the time of day, buddies such as Eikthyrdeer, Foxparks, Nitewing, Tombat, Melpaca, and others appear in the Bohemoth Grassy Hills, all of which drop skin when captured or defeated.
Another great location for leather farming is the area north and south of the Rayne Syndicate Tower Entrance landmark.

In addition to these two locations, we also have Lake Center, Bamboo Forest, Hypocrite Hill and many others that are rich in Pals that drop skin.
