With over $400 million in box office, it wouldn’t be a surprise if it got a sequel, but there’s been no confirmation so far, just hints, the most recent coming from the original’s producer, Charles Roven. As part of an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he was asked if he still wanted to get on with it, to which he responded with a resounding yes.
What the fans say is debatable, since the cast and the script were far removed from what was seen in the games, but the box office speaks louder and, in fact, the director of Sony Productions, had already said that the film by would become a franchise.
Uncharted 2 and the Hollywood strike
As for when we’ll see, that’s a more difficult question to answer, first because the project hasn’t even been officially recognized, and second because Hollywood is at a standstill, due to the writers’ and actors’ strike.
Ongoing video game projects like , are being affected, as well as the second season of , so the wait will probably be long, as it will be for an eventual one in video games.
