Sam is probably the most talked about Honkai Star Rail character at the moment. There are just a few things we know for sure about them and the rest is pure speculation. However, a recently leaked dialogue option clears up at least part of the mystery.
We’ve already talked about it a lot Stellaron Hunter Sam from Honkai Star Rail and I delved deeper immerse yourself in its tradition. But there is one thing in particular that has remained a huge secret for a very long time.
We already know that HoYoverse isn’t good at keeping secrets, and even Sam’s don’t seem safe anymore. Now we finally know who is behind the name “Sam”.
Honkai Star Rail: this is Sam’s true identity
Even though Sam is an extraordinary character and relevant to the story, we actually know very little about him! There are, as always, many theories, but it’s hard to say what actually reflects the truth at this point.
However, it looks like we finally know the truth about Sam and who’s hiding in that metal armor.
Firefly – The Molten Knights Pilot
Just like in the first theory, Firefly is a vital part of Sam’s character. For a long time, players thought that Firefly could be Sam’s summon, just like Svarog is for Clara!
Turns out HoYoverse didn’t actually copy and paste their own homework and give it another name! A recently leaked story element has finally solved the mystery of the armored fighter!
Sam is actually Firefly herself. – Yes, you read correctly ! The one hiding inside this huge battle suit is actually the cute little girl! (At least in terms of appearance.) The story surrounding Firefly’s past is still fairly unknown, but it seems pretty dark. Firefly she herself is there first genetic modification product in the world of Honkai Star Rail.
It was created for one purpose: To pilot the Molten Knight Sam.

Who knows what she had to endure to live up to the role she was given. Unfortunately, we don’t yet know if she was supposed to be part of the Stellaron Hunters. If this is the case, Stellaron Hunter Elio is definitely responsible!
Personally, I’m very excited to learn more about them in the near future, and they look like a potential new addition to my character roster if I’m honest!
