Normally, when thinking about Helldivers 2, almost everyone thinks about Starship Troopers; others think about Warhammer 40,000 due to its war situation, and a few may think of Halo because of the similarities that helldivers have with the ODSTs when entering combat from orbit with individual deployment capsules. Well, from now on we can add a new similarity to the great Microsoft saga, since Arrowhead Game Studios has activated a Twitch drop with new armor which refers to the Master Chief saga and I’ll tell you how to get it.
Twitch Drop TR-117 Alpha Commander
The new armor For the Helldivers it is a medium type that can act as a ”doctor” in the squad thanks to its Increased First Aid Kit capacity; allows the user to carry two additional stims (for a total of 6 out of 4) and whose effect lasts two additional seconds compared to those used from any other armor:
- Armor index: 100
- Speed (when moving and sprinting): 500
- Stamina Regeneration: 100
As medium armor, is good for all situations and will not detract from excessive mobility. Obviously the attraction is in its general appearance, which is reminiscent of armor in color and shape. Spartan (if the number 117 was not enough reference) and the helmet is also reminiscent of the aesthetics of the modified humans of the UNSC.
How to get the TR-117 Alpha Commander
This armor only will be available as a Twitch drop until next Saturday, February 24 at 0:30 CET. To get it, you must follow the following steps:
- First of all, link your account from Twitch to PS5 or Steam (there are instructions on how to do it on the Sony console in this link to SamaGame)
- The next thing is to go to the Twitch Drops section in Campaigns and look for Helldivers 2. Once located, you have to open it and click connect so that it starts recording our progress towards unlocking the armor.
- Streamers who are participating in this drop and they will offer it in their broadcasts. You must select only one (the one with the most schedule facilities to watch Twitch of all the ones depending on your availability) and watch its broadcast during 1 hour.
- Once this is done, go back to the connection link and claim your reward.
- If it went well, you should have received a code which you can change in the PS5 console menu or in Steam (Activate Product) to enter it; The next time you enter the game, both the armor and its helmet will be available in your armory.
Will this drop be obtainable again?
For now, there is no precise information regarding this issue, but considering that since Arrowhead Game Studios They have promised that all the promotional content and the Super Citizen edition will eventually reach the base game, at the moment there is no evidence to think otherwise. Although here we are talking about a Twicth drop, but they have not said that it is a unique opportunity.
