The next big Windows 11 update is ‘Moment 5’ and this is what’s new it includes

Although all eyes are on the version of Windows 11 24H2, although we all expected it to be actually Windows 12, The big update we expect soon is ‘Moment 5’. This update comes loaded with great new features that go beyond the improvements in Copilot, which in Spain we cannot enjoy as we do not have access to the AI integrated into the operating system.

This means that we have to ‘make do’ with the rest of the news related to native applications and minor improvements in the main parts of the system. In this article we analyze the main new features that we are going to be able to have in this update that will arrive in the next few weeks to compatible devices.

‘Moment 5’ will arrive on our PC in the coming weeks

One of the first novelties that you can enjoy is related to the widgets, since we can deactivate the news and obtain more descriptive information with notification alerts. But you will even be able to deactivate the results of Microsoft Start so as not to see an expanded list in this part of the system.

We Spaniards will be able to use the voice control application to be able to enter commands ‘out loud’ to control the operating system even when there are multiple screens. But it is not limited to basic control, but you can also create custom shortcuts to have short commands for specific actions.

If you are a fan of the Narrated application, with Moment 5 you will have more natural voices with the ‘add natural voice’ option and downloading it from the list offered by Microsoft. But also, Spotlight is going to gain prominence by being the default function when using Windows images.

When an update goes wrong, you will be able to repair it with the new option that is added called ‘fix problems with Windows Update‘ in the Recovery tab. In this way, the objective will be to preserve all the files but repair any software problems.

Finally, we must take into account the new features in Copilot, which although we do not have them in Spain, it is worth noting that it will ‘hide’ the Show desktop button and change the bot window size. AND multi-monitor support is added to have greater access to AI. But we still don’t know when we can enjoy this in Europe.
