And even if the exact date on which the iPhone 15 will finally be available to customers is not yet known, rumors are already going well concerning the design and the characteristics… but also the price of this new smartphone highly anticipated.
According to some sources, the iPhone 15 Pro should see its price explode. According to the SamaGame agency, the Cupertino company wants to continue to play the premium card by developing the “pro” range of the iPhone. The price of the iPhone 15 Pro could thus reach records. The iPhone 14 Pro as well as the 14 Pro Max had already undergone a significant price increase, since they were sold respectively at the price of 1329 euros and 1479 euros, while the iPhone 13 Pro and the 13 Pro Max displayed them selling prices of 1159 euros and 1259 euros. However, this increase was only visible in France, as sales prices in the United States did not change from one year to the next.
A record price for the iPhone 15 Pro… even in France?
Apple would have in mind to offer a premium offer truly detached from the basic offer. This high-end iPhone could therefore have even crazier technical capabilities and an even more advanced design. Certain new elements would thus justify the price increase. Among other things, we would find on this iPhone 15 Pro a titanium chassis, a lighter material but above all more expensive than the stainless steel present on old models, but also the installation of a periscopic telephoto lens.
This price change could also be explained by the increase in storage space from 128 GB to 256 GB for the entry-level models of the iPhone 15 Pro, but also by the integration of a 48 megapixel sensor , already present on the iPhone 14 Pro and 24 Pro Max and by the arrival of the Dynamic Island to replace the notch. Finally, these high-end models could also have a faster USB-C port and an A17 chip engraved in 3nm, compared to an A16 chip for the base iPhone 15.
However, you have to be careful about these rumors. Indeed, this price increase could only apply to the United States, since the European market has already experienced an increase in prices when the iPhone 14 was released, the euro having experienced a significant devaluation. The European Union currency has since almost regained its former value. So there’s only a month left to wait before we get the answer to this question.
