Change Borderlands 3 language to English

How do I change the language in Borderlands 3? Where can I change Borderlands 3 from German to English? This or at least something similar might be the question asked by one or other player who has just bought and installed the new Borderlands 3. In many games you can usually find the language setting when you first start the game or in the settings. Unfortunately, that’s not the case with Borderlands 3. There are two ways to change the language in Borderlands 3, which we have described in this article.

Borderlands 3 in English on the PC

If you want to change the language in the PC version of Borderlands 3 and set the game to English or German, then you can do two things.

  • Changing the language of the operating system: According to the reports, Borderlands uses the language set in the operating system. You could change the language in the operating system to English or German and this should then also be reflected in the game.
  • Change language via start parameters: Alternatively, you can also set the game language via a start parameter. You can enter the starting parameter in the Epic Games Store client at the bottom left via “Settings” – “Manage games” – “Borderlands 3”. To do this, check the box next to “Additional command line commands” and enter the parameter “-culture=en” for English and “-culture=de” for German.

By the way, there are other languages such as French (fr), Italian (it), Spanish (es), Russian (ru).

Borderlands 3 language change on PS4 and Xbox One

According to reports, if you want to change the language in Borderlands 3 on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, simply changing the language on the console should be enough. You can change the language on both the PS4 and Xbox One in just a few steps in the system settings.

Since the question of language selection in Borderlands 3 is asked more frequently on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One, it will probably only be a matter of time before the developers create a setting option in the game settings (at least we hope so).
