Similar to on the mainland, a disease can break out on ships and infect the crew. This is particularly annoying when this happens on the trade routes, as this affects them and can mess up the entire trading system. We asked ourselves, how can you actually cure the illness on the ships in Anno 1800? Are there ways that illnesses on ships can be completely prevented or at least reduced?
Heal sick ships in 1800?
Unlike illnesses and epidemics on the mainland, where you can counteract something with a hospital and get the residents back to health quickly, in our experience so far there isn’t much you can do when it comes to illnesses on the ships. If you click on the “sick ship” you will see a small white symbol with a timer on the side. This timer shows how long the illness will last (usually around 10 to 15 minutes). Apparently the only way to cure the disease is to wait for time. You should isolate the ship as much as possible and NOT drive it to your own port or near other ships, otherwise you will only make things worse.
So far we haven’t been able to find an item that can cure illnesses on ships more quickly or prevent illnesses from breaking out. It’s possible that sooner or later you’ll find an item like this for the ship’s item slots, but unfortunately we haven’t found it yet.
