Once again this year, Valve handed out prizes for the best Source Filmmaker videos, of which a brilliant Team Fortress 2 work was the absolute winner.
Valve famously made good promotional videos for its games, just remember the “Meet The…” series, which was used to establish the backstory of Team Fortress 2’s characters. Since then, the baton has been handed over to the community, who can now not only create trailers for official updates, but also collect prizes.
This year, the brilliantly named Saxxy Awards were awarded to the best Source Filmmakers for the fifth time, and this year, of course, Team Fortress 2 works were also included. The only category where a Dota 2 video could win was best drama, the winners of best action, comedy, short and long video were all TF2 works. The absolute winner was Dunkle’s video, the excellently successful Turbulence, which included his own voice acting and, of course, plenty of his own character models in addition to jokes and flawless action scenes.
