Reputation: how it works and how to get Reputation in Cyberpunk 2077

Reputation works separately from the level system of V. It also has its own XP, but it is obtained differently. You will get it mainly from the Commissions, jobs with their own category that the Fixers will give you, the characters who look for mercenaries to do jobs.

Similarly, you can also help the NCPD stop crimes around Night City. They have their own markers on the map, as well as unique objectives.

Lastly, don’t forget to take a look at the enemies that have a bounty on their heads. When you perform a scan you will see the description with your NCPD database, including how much Reputation you will earn.

How to increase your Reputation in Cyberpunk 2077

Now that you know the basics about Reputation, it is important to know when to perform Assignments. Cyberpunk 2077 is a huge game, and depending on your style of play, you may want to experience everything it has to offer.

Completing Assignments may not seem like a priority at first, but they are important for making vendor benefits and therefore better equipment for your character.

These are the ways to increase your Reputation:

Follow the Main Story – The Main Story Missions will take you to new areas, hideouts and enemy bases, so you will face a few enemies with a price on their heads. You will likely gain a certain level during these missions, so you will not be wasting your time doing them, quite the opposite.

Complete Orders – These quick encounters appear on the map and you can complete them at your own pace. They may consist of rescuing a certain character from a lair or eliminating a group of enemies to retrieve a certain item.

Complete NCPD crimes – They are usually short, so we recommend you overcome these encounters on the way to other missions. It’s a good way to gain edis and experience, although helping the police is not exactly the most punk thing you can do.

Eliminate enemies in Search and Capture – You decide if you incapacitate or kill them, because they are found dead or alive, but you should keep an eye on these enemies during missions and walking through the streets.

How to get Reputation fast in Cyberpunk 2077

There’s no turning back: the fastest way to earn Reputation XP in Cyberpunk 2077 is by completing City Assignments.

The good part is that there are many and they are everywhere, and most will appear to you simply traveling from one main mission to another. The key is to get the most out of your trips: if you go to a new district, it may be worth stopping halfway and marking an Order on the GPS.

Also, remember that you can see all your Orders from the Journal at any time.

You may only have to spend a couple of minutes on them, as they are not usually very long. More complicated Orders will ask you to get a specific item that you can then drop off at any deposit machine (you’ll see a secondary message next to the sell option).

Luckily, there is always one near the mission location, and it will be marked on the map so you can zoom in with your GPS. In others you will have to convince a person to accompany you, but you can always incapacitate them.

We also recommend looking for enemies in Search and Capture in the streets. It is easy to find them in groups or participating in kidnappings (you will see a blue star on the minimap).

If you’re not sure, an easy way to find people with bounties on their heads is to look for green circles on your minimap. Use the scanner to see what you’re up against and then go for them.
