Deal : DKB cuts daily interest rates

Interest rate collapse for DKB customers: Anyone who has a current account with the bank will only receive daily interest of 1.75 percent pa from February 2024

What happens after the 3.5 percent campaign? This is what customers of the DGerman Kreditbank (DKB) asked for a long time. Now everything’s clear. And the answer is sobering: From February, the DKB will pay its customers significantly less interest on their daily money. Then there is only 1.75 percent pa for daily money. Until now, the bank had offered 3.5 percent pa. The offer was valid from August 1, 2023 – for a six-month promotional period until the end of January 2024 – for both existing and newly opened current account accounts.

DKB daily allowance: No upper limit

There was no upper limit on the investment amount. This is still the case. Investors receive the interest credited quarterly – from the first euro. However, the offer does not apply to any existing DKB Visa daily money.

The deposits are protected by the German deposit insurance up to an amount of 100,000 euros per person. In addition, the DKB is a member of the deposit protection fund of the Federal Association of Public Banks.

DKB daily money account: Switching is worth it

Customers do not have to be content with the DKB’s 1.75 percent interest rate. In the large Daily money comparison From SamaGame you will find alternatives with significantly higher interest rates.
