DFRobot is now selling the Unihiker, an 83 x 52mm SBC that combines a Rockchip RK3308 chipset with 512MB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Unlike many of its competitors, the Unihiker also has a built-in 2.8-inch screen.

DFRobot, the company behind the LattePanda, has announced the Unihiker, a single board computer (SBC) with an integrated display. According to DFRobot, the Unihiker measures 83 x 52 x 13mm, making it comparable in size to the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B. However, the SBC isn’t as powerful as the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, nor is it as powerful as the LattePanda.

Instead, the Unihiker is based on the Rockchip RK3308 chipset with four 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A35 CPU cores, but no video accelerator. DFRobot complements that chipset with a GD32VF103C8T6 RISC-V coprocessor, plus 512MB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of eMMC storage on which it installs the Debian operating system. Additionally, the SBC has a Micro SD card reader for expansion purposes and the following I/Os:

  • 4x 3-pin GPIOs
  • 2x 4-pin I2C GPIOs
  • 1x 6-axis motion sensor
  • 1x Buzzer
  • 1x Edge Connector
  • 1x LED
  • 3x Pushbuttons
  • 1x Microphone
  • 1x Light Sensor
  • 1x USB Type-A
  • 1x USB Type-C
